Primary Job Description:

The Technical Producer is a key role reporting to the Director of Technology. This position will manage a growing suite of interactive application software solutions, working with both front end and backend software. The Technical Producer is accountable for managing and coordinating resources and integrating and managing processes and best practices to deliver unique software applications while gaining efficiencies that result in bottom line profit and client satisfaction improvement.

  • Track all technical deliverable dates related to development milestones, installations, engineering documentation, etc.
  • Facilitate resourcing bottlenecks by providing single source of contact to the project management team while maintaining a department resourcing schedule
  • Coordinate efforts between programming and AV to ensure all requirements are communicated and match client requests and specifications 
  • Speak to project progress on a case-by-case basis in meetings by illustrating a level of technical competence to the internal, contractor, and client-facing contacts
  • Aid in procurement, PO generation, product shipping, recruiting, travel resourcing, and client management
  • Aid in Downstream's JitBit support to ensure timely assignments and responses of active tickets
  • Help maintain and organize Downstream's technical documentation for future use
  • Maintain a department Wiki
  • Assist in the preparation for client meetings including discovery session materials
  • Assist in the Quality Assurance Plan identification, creation and execution. 
  • Demonstrate leadership abilities with the deployment of software, enhancements and bug fixes that are coordinated based on commissioning schedules
  • Work closely with Account teams, program managers, and clients to fully understand the software and systems functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Collaborate with design and PM teams in defining the project/application vision and user experience goals
  • Conduct daily/weekly standup meetings
  • Help developers resolve technical problems and problem solve
  • Provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead team members to their optimum performance levels and career development
  • Work with HR department on team member recruiting.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communications skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and support cross-functional project teams
  • Action-oriented and ability to work independently
  • Competencies in MS Office, MS Project,  and other related project management and common communications tools is required
  • Strong ability to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions
