How do you visualize data streams without becoming mired in complexity? |
Opportunity As part of Russell Investment’s workspace strategy and coinciding with their headquarter shift from Tacoma to Seattle, Downstream was asked to augment the architectural environment with a digital media-scape that could spark economic thinking and conversation. This was a creative and artistic challenge that culminated in a beautiful and thought-provoking compliment to a well designed headquarters.
Development The goal was to take real-time financial information and turn it into live data feeds that could then be interpreted into “info-graphical” art. The challenge was to create art that could be interpreted literally and still be beautiful. Downstream was up to the task.
Solution From the content being showcased on a large video wall in the main reception area on the 18th floor to multi-projector synchronized projection systems on three other floors, Downstream was able to seamlessly bring real-time financial data to life dynamically and graphically. As visitors and employees enter and exit elevators on multiple floors, they are greeted by the constantly evolving info-graphic media created by Downstream. This content sparks economic thinking and discussion while also helping push Russell’s progressive brand aesthetic and message forward. |
