    CLIENT

    HP Inc (formerly Hewlett Packard) is a global leader in the PC and printing markets, offering a range of devices, solutions, and services to consumers and businesses.

    CHALLENGE

    Create a unique workplace and customer experience that conveys HP's culture & vision for the future of work, fostering a sense of community among their employees and visitors, while showcasing HP products and solutions.

    SOLUTION

    Partnering with our global workplace design & build business, Unispace, we developed the Futurescapes concept for HP’s workplace and Executive Briefing Center (EBC) in Gurgaon, India. 

    In our Discovery Workshops, we worked with HP stakeholders to understand their desired visitor and user experiences. Through this process, we identified the user journeys and programmed the space to meet HP's employee and customer needs. Core to our Futurescapes concept was to create adaptable spaces that promote innovation, collaboration and sustainability. It was important to connect employees and customers to HP’s rich history, brand and culture. 

    The space has four key zones

    •    Growthscapes – an open office layout that prioritizes employee productivity, flexibility and wellness.
    •    Socialscapes – extending the workplace beyond traditional boundaries to facilitate a sense of community, spontaneous interactions and a culture of creativity.
    •    Playscapes – reflect the brand's history, values and corporate citizen stories through storytelling in physical space. 
    •    Techscapes – Blending the customer and employee spaces, this area is divided into several dynamic zones, each enhancing the user experience across arrivals, presentations, product showcases and more.

    Our role as the lead Experience Designer was to create a shared vision for storytelling and showcasing their products & services, focusing on both employee and customer experience. 

    We call it the Living Studio.

    IMPACT

    Setting a new vision for the future of their hybrid workplace and EBC, flexibility and adaptability were key requirements for blending the division of customer and employee spaces. We created a flexible space to combine the use of planned functionality such as small product demonstrations through to large employee events, and unplanned events by using multiple movable digital screens to isolate the areas being used for multi-purpose events. 

    Sustainable design was a significant aspect of the commercial interior design, and supported HP’s achievement of LEED Gold certification. Eco-friendly design features such as living plant walls and motion-detection lighting not only minimize waste but improve employee well-being.

    This approach seamlessly integrates employee and customer areas, optimizes their footprint, and improves overall functionality of the combined workplace and EBC.

    With a stunning first impression, arrivals instantly sense the cutting-edge ambience of the Living Studio that conveys HP's culture and vision for the future of work. The platform provides functionality for a customized welcome message and offers information about relevant events and news.
    HP Inc_Tech cafe
    An open coffee bar and technology lab that inspires meaningful progress, while supporting and educating HP employees. The area is employee-focused and offers HP’s latest innovations and product developments, including features and benefits.
    HP Inc_Bespoke Content Management System (CMS) and front-end application
    Downstream developed a custom front-end application supporting interactive content that uses a variety of presentation templates for HP's storytelling. This platform's content can be customized using a global CMS (content management system).

    Flexible partition screens and interactive platforms connect to the custom CMS, and is used for client demonstrations, employee collaboration and events, presenting HP’s offering in an engaging way.
    HP Inc_Theatre area
    All-hands demo area and large seating on bleachers with flexible AV interactive platforms, make the theatres a multipurpose space used by both employees and customers. 
    HP Inc_Lounge area
    Meet, connect and refresh in the lounge, surrounded by artful representations of HP’s values, beliefs and corporate citizenship stories.
